Emerging photographer Andréa Sabugo has an eye for one-of-a-kind photoshoot styling that breaks through the white noise of modern portrait photography.  In the midst of launching her personal brand, she had a need for photos of her behind the lens.

See some of her work at @d.r.dre. Official website launching soon!

Phase one //

Single Compelling Thought: When it comes to brands, photographers and designers, most behind-the-scenes work isn't client-facing. Is there an opportunity to build your brand by taking a more transparent approach to your digital strategy?

Strategy: Build Andréa's photography brand by showcasing her behind the lens. Implement this approach to convey her talent, process and personality.

Execution: Shadow Andréa during a photoshoot with designer Calle Evans to capture photos of her in action.

PHASE two //

As you can see, Andréa differentiates her style by merging her artistic spirit with uniquely innovative ideas. We wanted to create a logo that reflects that sentiment and echoes the same story.

Single Compelling Thought: When it comes to logo design, it's standard to see two elements: a wordmark and a symbol. Can we filter this brand through an artistic lens to create an letterform logo that mirrors the identity of the brand?

Strategy: Leverage the shape + weight of contrasting typography styles to craft an intuitive and visually-compelling logo inspired by Andréa's initials.

Execution: Four unique logos that leverage the shapes of an A and an S in an unexpected way.
